The Marshmallow Challenge
Students participated in a team-building activity today called the Marshmallow Challenge. With 20 spaghetti noodles, 1 yard of masking tape, and 1 yard of string, a team of four or five worked together to build a free-standing structure that would hold a marshmallow at the top. It was a great way to work as a team and build collaboration skills. At the end of eighteen minutes, I measured the height of each structure. Make sure you ask your child about it!

Fudge Books

Over spring break I think good books to read are the fudge
series. If you like realistic fiction than these books are right for you. There
is a family It is the mom the dad the brother peter and the little brother
fudge. Sometimes the little brother fudge gets in trouble. Peter the older
brother has a turtle and you should see what happens in the first book. If you
like Judy blume than you will love this series. One reason I like this book is
because it is funny. The second reason I like the series is because fudge asks
all these questions. The third reason I like this series is because first when
fudge is little he wants to get whatever his older brother wants. I can connect
this to my life because I want whatever my seven year old sister wants. Make
sure you read the Fudge series over spring break. I hope you like the series
and see what happens next.

Today I want to recommend a book
to you. It is called Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. I really love
this book because it has a lot of humor like when the town gets attacked by
food there is some noodles that say “look out”. Another reason is that the book
is mysterious because food falls from the sky and that does not happen in real
life. The last reason is that the food goes from small to large and that is
also mysterious. I hope that you agree with me about this book.

My favorite book is Ivy+Bean. Maybe you should read it one
day over spring break. You should read the first book. Ivy and Bean do not like
each other. Will they ever like each other? It is a really awesome book. My
little sister loves the book I do too. Maybe if you read the book you will love
or like the book. I now I will because I already love the book Ivy+Bean. I will
read it over spring break to my little sister. Ivy+Bean become friends and they
are fun because they pull pranks on Ivy's big sister.
Ever After High is the best
book!!!

Oh on spring break is coming up and I don’t know
what books to read. Well if you need a recommendation I recommend Ever After
High the story book of legends. First of all its an enjoyable series that you
will enjoy. Secondly its a book full of surprises that will have you on the tip
of your chair. Lastly its kind of funny. You will beg your mom and dad stay up
longer so you can keep reading. The author that writes ever after high series
is Shannon Hale. The genre of this story is friendship. So if you need a
recommendation I recommend Ever After High.
Dear Dumb Diary

In my opinion there’s three main reasons why
why I think you should read this book. One, Jamie kelly the 4rth
grade girl is a hysterical. She thinks her mom tries to poison her and her dad
because of how bad her moms cooking is. Two, unlike other funny books that can
be confusing this book isn’t confusing at all. You don’t have to read the books
in order to understand the books. Lastly, it is written like a diary if you
like books that are written like that. I think if you like books such as Dairy
of a Wimpy Kid, Dork Diary, or Big Nate than I think you’ll
love this book.

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
I like Tales of a
Fourth Grade Nothing for a lot of reasons. First of it is really, really
funny because his brother Fudge causes so much trouble. It is also really
fictional because brother eats a lot of things that would not happen in real
life. It tells what he is thinking, and what he thinks is really funny. I think
you should read Tales of a Fourth grade nothing, and you will laugh out
loud!

recommend that people should read the book series Captain Underpants.
Captain underpants is this person who tries to be a superhero. He wears
underpants and a cape. He’s kinda crazy. Another crazy thing is that he
actually finds crime and wins all the time. He’s funny and does his best to
save the day. Well I think there's one other thing you need to know, he
sometimes has to fight things like man eating toilets. Well thats why I
recommend that people should read the book series Captain Underpants.

I recommend that you read Captain Underpants
if you like action, adventure and laughs. Captain Underpants has 10
books in it’s series. I recommend you read the first one first. It all starts
in a small town in Ohio. There are 2 boys named George and Harold. They are
best friends. They are troublemakers. So… one day at their school they decide
to wreak havoc and prank the cheerleaders, Marching band and the football team.
Their mean principal Mr. Krupp catches them on tape which starts a whole new
adventure. They make Captain Underpants and he gets kidnaped by evil robots. Do
you want to know what happens? Do you like the sound of this book? Well if you
do you should try it out. Captain Underpants is for all ages and will make you
laugh for sure. You should read this book because it has pretty good ratings,
Has really funny pictures, And has extra facts about the author. If you like
the pictures you can making them funnier by ordering Captain Underpants in

Well if you do you will like Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth. I'll
give you a hint of what it has in it.First off its funny. Greg is the main
character. Greg’s friend Rowley has a zit and he thinks he is a grown man
because of it. Greg just thinks thats is dumb. Then they were walking to lunch
and a cool kid came and invited them to a legendary party. Greg got home and
found out had to skip the party because of a wedding. Oh No! That means that he
gets “the talk” from his gammie and he is not looking forward to it. Find out

Survivors The Lost City

I think you should read
this book because it has two golden retrievers named Sweet and Lucky. They go
on these adventures together and get to go into the forest and work together to
try to survive in lots of places like the city, the forest, and you have to
find out that last one. It is full of suspense it has them hearing weird sounds
and lots of mysteries that you should try to find. Lastly, it is action packed
they are trying to survive in their world it’s a lot to take in but it’s not to
much you can’t understand it. You should read this book because you would feel
what the characters are feeling and you get put in the moment it is a amazing
book you get to go on the adventures that you can actually feel when you read

I think The Lake Monster is a good book because it
is mysterious. It is mysterious because you dont know whats coming up next, it
gets you into the book. In the book it says “We could see something dark moving under the surface…” Doesn't that get you into the story? I also
like this book because it is funny he freaks out when nothing is scary. I think
it is funny when he says “Now his snoring was
louder than a marching band.”
That was so hysterical to me. It also makes you worry because you don't know
what's going to happen and you worry about the character. Something scary it
says in the book is “My
tail was trembling with fright! after a few minutes of silence we heard the
thrum of a motorboat.” I recommend this book if
you like funny mystery and scary well kind of scary!
Artemis Fowl 3-19-15

Fowl is a great book by Eoin Colfer. It’s great for many
reasons including It’s action packed, It’s adventurous, and it’s high tech. I
would recommend it for 9 to 14 year olds who like adventure and sci fi. It is a
chapter book with a series of 8 books. Artemis fowl characters are Holly
Short, Artemis Fowl II, Foaly, Opal Koboi, I recommend it to people who
are confident to reading a new book including a chapter book. Artemis fowl
is cool because each story is different in a very special way. My favorite book
so far is The Eternity Code. It is my favorite book because it is high tech and
I like that. Also it is action and adventure which I also like. One reason why
it’s adventurous is because you never know what will happen. Another reason is
because it’s high tech because artemis is a millionare so he buys super high
tech things. The last reason is because it’s action packed with danger all
around.

name is George Vanquist. His dog and his name is Noodles he is a total genius.
You think he is one the bad guys team but he's on our team. So this guy in the
middle hes a yeti and his name is Blitz. He has a best friend but he got a
photo of hem but there not a suposto get a photo of them. There at his friends
house but it is not a house it is an amazing tree house so read this book to

Warriors

Warriors is an awesome series of books.
I recommend this series to kids or adults of any age to read this series. First
of all, it is action-packed. It has a bunch of battles and missions like in one
book from the series which is Fire and Ice. Fire and Ice has a
mission where two cats Fireheart and Graystripe go on a very dangerous and
scary mission to fetch a Clan which is WindClan back from this camping trip
place. Secondly, in, I think it was A Dangerous Path, WindClan has a
very surprising attack from TigerClan which is RiverClan and ShadowClan mixed
together. In Warriors, there are a lot of cats. There are Clans which
are; RiverClan, ShadowClan, WindClan and ThunderClan. Warriors is a awesome and
exciting series of books.
